Add a quality tripod to your CobraCrane. We recommend our very own Certified Tripod System for CobraCrane I, II and Backpacker (with or without extensions), as well as the Manfrotto 501HDV.
The Manfrotto 503HDV and 504HD for the CobraCrane II, all Plus and all HD series are excellent matches.

Our release plate - included with the CobraCrane -, works great with Manfrotto 501, 503 and 504 heads.
A longer release plate comes with the Manfrotto 510, 516, 526, these are excellent as well.

Tripod Recommendations:

Any tripod that currently is used with a shoulder mount Beta, Digibeta, Varicam, Arri, Viper or Cinealta camera will most likely do very well with a CobraCrane. Your tripod is not listed here it may still work. Look for the weight rating of the tripod you have on the manufacturer's site. Also if your tripod has a crank up head then its a good indication that its design is meant for heavier cameras and cranes. Keep in mind the size and weight of crane you plan to use.

Some higher end Velbons, all Manfrotto 500 series, any higher end Miller, all Oconnor, all high end Sachtler and Vinton.

For CobraCrane I:
Some higher end Velbons, all Manfrotto 500 series, including the 501, 503 and 504 head.
